Taeniogyrus dunedinensis (Parker, 1881)

Taeniogyrus dunedinensis, commonly known as the burrowing sea cucumber, is a small sea cucumber from New Zealand. These sea cucumbers lack tube feet. They are pink with reddish speckles at the ends.

They are found burrowed on mud flats (often around sea grass) and in silty crevices amongst rocks. Feeds on organic detritus.
