Body translucent withe. On head there is a median red,orange or yellow line running from the anterior edge to the rhinophores.The cerata have white bands or white patches, sometimes a red or orange band.The rhinophores have up to 18 rings.

Dondice occidentalis feeds on hydrozoon polyps.
