The situation with this species is the same as with Rhodactis inchoata - there are several similar forms which may represent one or several species. The validity of Rhodactis indosinensis is not quite well established. Rhodactis rhodostoma from the Red Sea may be a senior synonym of Rhodactis indosinensis.

Wie die meisten anderen Scheibenanemonen scheint auch diese Art keine allzu großen Ansprüche zu stellen. Ich pflege einige von den Tieren in meinem "Azoo"-Aquarium unter 2x 39 Watt T5; die Tiere gedeihen dort an verschiedenen Plätzen sehr gut. Selbst als durch eine Überdosierung von Phytoplankton das Aquarium einige Wochen "grün" war, konnte ich keine negative Beeinflussung feststellen.
