Columbella mercatoria (Linnaeus, 1758)
Columbella mercatoria is a relatively common snail, but apparently little known by name. Certainly also a good algae eater.
This species is found near the coast and in the intertidal zone, in coral reefs, coastal lagoons, mangroves, bays and coves, especially on coral, rocks, boulders, sand and sea grass.
It is expected to reproduce well in the aquarium and is available quite inexpensively.
Keeping as with almost all of this species easy. The English name "Dove Shell" translates as pigeon shell, the German name "gemein" stands for common.
