Symphyllia ist eine Korallenart, die auch heute noch regelmässig in den Handel kommt. Sie ist gleich zu setzen mit anderen Hirnkorallen wie Favia oder Favites. Sie benötigen Mittellichtzone, eine durchaus kräftige, am besten wechselnde Strömung, die niemals direkt auf das Tier gerichtet sein darf.

Auch sie lebt neben den Zooxanthellen vom Fang von Plankton, also kleinen verwertbaren Futterpartikeln.

Folgende Farben sind bekannt: diverse Farben gemischt, über grün, grau, lilafarben und braun. Besondes schöne Farb-Varianten kosten entsprechend mehr.
