Gobiodon erythrospilus lives symbiotically among branches of table-like corals, f. e. Acropora nasuta, Acropora valida, Acropora. millepora and Acropora tenuis.
Gobiodon erythrospilus is a brown coralgoby with five vertical blue lines on a pale brown to reddish head.
Juveniles gobis have additional vertical blue lines on its body.
Gobiodon species are capable of changing sex in both directions.
Jumping guard
A jumping guard prevents (nocturnal) fish from jumping out.
Wrasses, blennies, hawkfishs and gobies jump out of an unprotected tank in fright if their night rest is disturbed, unfortunately these jumpers are found dried up in the morning on carpets, glass edges or later behind the tank.

A small night light also helps, as it provides the fish with a means of orientation in the dark!
