Der Seestern Fromia hemiopla ist orange-rot gefärbt, oft mit helleren Armspitzen.
Seine schwarz gefärbten Poren sind gleichmäßiger angeordnet und bilden ein geometrisches Muster.
Deutlich sichtbar sind die kalkhaltigen Platten am Rand der Arme, die zu englichen Namen "Armoured sea star" = gepanzerter Seestern geführt haben.

Der Seestern ist ein absoluter Nahrungsspezialist, er ernährt sich ausschließlich von krustenförmig wachsenden Schwämmen.

Weitere Informationen zu diesem Seestern müssen wir vorerst schuldig bleiben.
