Ophionereis fasciata Hutton, 1872

Ophionereis fasciata is endemic to NewZealnd. Its a common Brittle Star on open shores down to about 300m deep.

This Brittle star is eaten by Coris sandeyeri (Eastern king wrasse),Chironemus marmoratus (Large kelpfish) and Cheilodactylus spectabilis (Brownbanded morwong).
