Nebularia ferruginea is a marine gastropod in the family Mitridae, the miters or miter snails.
The Rusty Mitre is a mostly common species living on a variety of lagoon, pinnacle and seaward reefs, usually under rocks by day and crawling exposed at night. Depths range from the intertidal down to at least 45m.
