Chaetodontoplus chrysocephalus is also known as Orange-Faced Angelfish and the Yellowheaded Angelfish. This uncommon angelfish is now thought to be either the male color form of the blue-lined angelfish (Chaetodontoplus septentrionalis), or a hybrid between two members of this genus. His head is orange with greenish-blue stripes. Moving from head to tail, the body becomes progressively darker brown.
The Yellowheaded Angelfish needs a larger tank with numerous hiding places and large amounts of live rock for grazing. Not a good reef dweller, the Orange-Faced Angelfish is prone to nip at stony and soft corals and clam mantles.
The diet of the Yellowheaded Angelfish should include marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, mysid or frozen shrimp, and other meaty items.
Remarks:
Most large angelfish are well known for nipping at large-polyped stony corals and some soft corals as well as tridacnid clam mantles.
