Info

Cinetorhynchus hawaiiensis is a dancing shrimp endemic to the waters around Hawaiii, which can often be found in finger corals around Porites compressa at night.

The first description of the shrimp shows that its basic coloration is red, the two animals on the photos of Keoki Stender from Hawaiii show, according to his information, animals whose difference is in age/size, possibly also in sex.

However, the small dark spot on the abdomen is present in both blue and red specimens.

Similar species: Cinetorhynchus reticulatus
