Overall, there is little noteworthy information available about this goby, and there is no documented information about its diet.
However, since the genus is carnivorous (zoobenthos), we have transferred this knowledge to Gobius rubropunctatus.

We would like to thank Prof. Dr. Peter Wirtz for his photos of males and females, which he was able to take in the eastern Atlantic waters around São Tomé and Príncipe.
