Captive breeding / propagation

The offspring of Muriceopsis flavida are possible. Unfortunately, the number of offspring is not large enough to cover the demand of the trade. If you are interested in Muriceopsis flavida, please ask your dealer for offspring. If you already own Muriceopsis flavida, try breeding yourself. This will help to improve the availability of offspring in the trade and to conserve natural stocks.

Husbandry

This genus has two common species in the Caribbean, M. flavida and M. sulfurea. Muriceopsis flavida is hardy and easy to propagate in aquariums. For more Infos and Pictures click to the Link to Advanced Aquarist.
