Info

(Lamarck, 1798)

Eledone cirrhosa occurs on rocky coasts from Iceland in the north to North Africa in a depth range of around 120 meters.

The octopus grows up to 50 cm long, with a smooth or fine black, granular body.
Its arms are slender and have a single row of suckers.

The color of the octopus is predominantly reddish-brown dorsally and white ventrally, but these animals are able to adapt their color to the background very quickly.
