Body translucent withe. On head there is a median red,orange or yellow line running from the anterior edge to the rhinophores. The cerata have white bands or white patches, sometimes a red or orange band. The rhinophores have up to 18 rings.

Dondice juansanchezi feeds on hydrozoon polyps.

"A March, 2022 paper, "Integrative systematics of the genus Dondice Marcus, 1958 (Gastropoda, Nudibranchia, Myrrhinidae) in the Western Atlantic, Kimberly García-Méndez & Vinicius Padula & Ángel Valdés" has reclassified this as Dondice juansanchezi, sp. nov."
