Okenia aspersa (Alder & Hancock, 1845)

Okenia aspersa is cream in colour,covered with yellow to orange and brown speckling. There are two rows papillae on the dorsum.The long rhinophores are lamellate.

Okenia aspersa, commonly known as "seasquirt okenia" feeds mainly on the ascidian Molgula occulta.Because Molgula occulta lives buried below the surface of muddy sand Okenia pulchella may burrow completely inside the ascidian.
