Turbinaria triquetra (J.Agardh) Kützing, 1849

Turbinaria is a genus of brown algae (Phaeophyceae) commonly known from tropical marine waters. It generally grows on rocky substrates. In tropical Turbinaria species often preferentially consumed by herbivorous fishes and echinoids, there is a relatively low level of tannins.

Turbinaria triquetra is highly seasonal.They tend to vary in in density, thallus size, number, and reproduction.Turbinaria triquetra is a canopy-forming alga.
