Husbandry

Jordan & McGregor, 1898

Very special thanks for the first two photos of Apogon atricaudus to Dr. Ross Robertson, Australia.

Dr. Robertson has taken these photos at Revillagigedo Islands, Mexico, where this cardinalfish lives in a depth of 9 to 30 meters.

Apogon atricaudus is reef-associated and is found in rocky reefs where the fish seeks shelter during the day.
This species is a mouthbrooder.
