The soft coral Parasphaerasclera valdiviae grow in small colonies to 11cm in height and up to 10cm in diameter.The polyps are white. The soft coral colony is variable colour, my be white,pink,,orange,red or bi-coloured. Parasphaerasclera valdiviae feeds on planktonic food.
It is endemic to Southern Africa.
