Chaetodon dolosus also known as the African butterflyfish is to be found in the western Indian Ocean at depths from 40-200 metre (13-66 ft.). It can grow up to 15 centimetres (6 in) in length. Inhabits rocky and coral reefs; feeds on worms and other invertebrates.
Butterflyfish are not recommended for reefs as they will pick at or eat a wide variety of corals, fan worms, and other invertebrates. Most Butterflyfish are known to pick at Aiptaisia, a parasitic anemone.
